Basketball Game Preview: Tomball Memorial Wildcats vs. Klein Bearkats

Tomball Memorial has won five straight games at home, while Klein has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Tomball Memorial Wildcats will welcome the Klein Bearkats at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Tomball Memorial humbled Magnolia West with a 65-25 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Mustangs are ranked 1141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Klein didn't have too much trouble with Klein Oak on Tuesday as they won 57-43.

Klein is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Tomball Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 18-13.

Tomball Memorial barely slipped by Klein in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 60-59. Does Tomball Memorial have another victory up their sleeve, or will Klein turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
