Basketball Recap: Trinity Beats Australian National Team (Australia) for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Trinity had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They managed a 39-35 victory over Australian National Team (Australia). The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 730th in Texas, while Australian National Team (Australia) are ranked 249th in North Carolina).

Trinity was led to victory by Olivia Mills and Mariah Tyson. Mills almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, while Tyson posted eight points and 16 rebounds. Mills is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Trinity's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Australian National Team (Australia), they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-25 win against Centerville on the 13th.
