Baseball Recap: Hart Wins Going Away Against Castaic

Hart owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Castaic Coyotes as they made off with a 6-0 win. Considering the Hawks have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hart got a great performance from Tristan Purfoy as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Purfoy also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Hawks are 6-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ryder Frithsmith was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Hayden Rhodes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Hart pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Castaic, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Hart will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Coyotes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
