Alpharetta entered their tilt with North Forsyth on Thursday with 27 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 28. They came out on top against North Forsyth by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Alpharetta had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 26-24, 25-19.

Kailey Leonard was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 38 digs and two aces. Those 38 digs gave her a new career-high. Tabby Estes was another key player, getting 15 digs and two aces.

Despite the loss, North Forsyth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lyla Jane Craft had 24 digs and two assists. Those 24 digs set a new season-high mark for Craft.

Alpharetta's record now sits at 34-1. As for North Forsyth, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 27-6.

Alpharetta and North Forsyth should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Raiders (ranked first) will meet Douglas County (ranked 209th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Forsyth will face off against Carrollton on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (2 vs. 130).
