After a string of six wins, Bishop Union's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mammoth Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

While Bishop Union ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21.

EVIE CARTER paced Bishop Union's offense, picking up eight kills. CARTER got some help from RILEY VAN NEST and her 24 assists. MADISON BENNINGER controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Mammoth can attribute much of their success to Aspen Wight, who had 12 digs and three aces. What's more, Wight posted three assists, the most she's had over her last six matches. Sophia Ayala was another key player, getting ten digs.

Bishop Union's loss dropped their record down to 19-11-1. As for Mammoth, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4-1 record this season.

Bishop Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Rosamond on the 16th. As for Mammoth, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Boron on the 16th.
