Football Game Preview: Minerva Lions vs. Carrollton Warriors

Minerva is 0-6 against Carrollton since November of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Lions will welcome the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Minerva's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Alliance on Friday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Aviators. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Aviators are ranked 147th).

Meanwhile, Carrollton was beaten by West Branch 48-7 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for Carrollton in their meetings with West Branch: they've now lost eight in a row.

Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Minerva, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Minerva took a serious blow against Carrollton when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 36-6. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lions were down 36-0.
