Robertson is 7-2 against East Mountain since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cardinals will host the Timberwolves at 9:30 a.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Robertson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-6 win over Tularosa.

Brian Lucero and Brenen Deisler were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Lucero pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Deisler didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Lucero went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Deisler earned two runs and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Lucero has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Robertson let Diego Maez and Elijah Ortiz run wild. Maez went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ortiz got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, East Mountain earned an 8-3 victory over Santa Fe Indian on Thursday.
Like Robertson, East Mountain also got a great game from a two-way player: Aidan Madrid. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Madrid was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charles Birdwell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. East Mountain is undefeated when Birdwell posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Zane Davis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.
East Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
East Mountain's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Robertson, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Robertson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Robertson might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from East Mountain when the teams last played back in March. Will the Cardinals have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
