Softball Recap: Harper Woods Comes Up Short

Harper Woods was the 18-14 winner over Avondale when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 15-13 on Tuesday.

Harper Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Avondale, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Harper Woods is set to take on their familiar foe Ferndale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Avondale will square off against rival West Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering the Yellowjackets have lost four straight at home and the Lakers five straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
