Basketball Recap: Edgewood Skates Past Patterson with Ease

Edgewood had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the Patterson Clippers to the tune of 59-20 on Monday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Clippers are ranked 151st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edgewood is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. The defeat snapped Patterson's winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 14-8 record.

Edgewood has already played their next contest (against Poly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Patterson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
