Soccer Recap: Rocky Mount Comes Up Short

After flying high against SouthWest Edgecombe last Monday, Rocky Mount came back down to earth. The Gryphons came up short against the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets on Tuesday, falling 5-0. Rocky Mount haven't had much luck with Roanoke Rapids recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Rocky Mount's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Roanoke Rapids, the win keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Meanwhile, Roanoke Rapids will square off against rival Bunn at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th. The timing is sure in Roanoke Rapids' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Bunn have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
