Basketball Game Preview: Hannan Wildcats vs. Elk Valley Christian

The Hannan Wildcats and Elk Valley Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Saturday, Hannan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to Covenant. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hannan's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ian Chaffin, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Chaffin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Cade, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Elk Valley Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 63-33 loss at the hands of Victory Baptist Academy.

Elk Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hannan, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
