While Lowell's victory against North Newton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils skirted past the Spartans 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Lowell wouldn't go down easily and took North Newton into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-12, 21-25, 15-13.

North Newton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bree Anderson, who had 15 digs.

Lowell's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for North Newton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowell will take on Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Newton, they will challenge North White at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
