Softball Recap: Lee Park Prep Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Lee Park Prep was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against the Central Academy Cougars, falling 17-2. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

Lee Park Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Alexander, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Lee Park Prep has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. Central Academy pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lee Park Prep has already played their next contest (against Forsyth Home Educators), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Central Academy, they will welcome West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: West Stanly has averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
