Oglethorpe County piles up the points against Elbert County

Recap: Oglethorpe County Patriots vs. Elbert County Blue Devils

The Oglethorpe County Patriots's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They breezed by Elbert County at home to the tune of 70-42. The victory was just what Oglethorpe County needed coming off of a 67-41 defeat in their prior matchup.

Elbert County's loss came despite strong showings from Aj Brown and Haven Adams. Brown scored 13 points, while Adams scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season.

Oglethorpe County pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Elbert County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oglethorpe County will take on Johns Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Elbert County, Elbert County and Commerce will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Commerce is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.5 points per game.
