Baseball Recap: Gibson County Wins Going Away Against Houston County

On Saturday, the Gibson County Pioneers made easy work of the Houston County Fighting Irish and carried off an 11-1 win.

Gibson County got a big performance out of Owen Pack, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Fisher, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Gibson County's record now sits at 2-0. As for Houston County, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibson County will host Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Houston County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Stewart County at 6:00 p.m. Houston County is facing Stewart County at the right time seeing as Stewart County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
