Horizon fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Notre Dame Prep on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Saints. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Huskies, who until this matchup were averaging 14.83 points allowed.

Despite the loss, Horizon still got an impressive performance from James Klopfenstien, who picked up 84 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. The Huskies also got a significant boost from Bodie Zamorano, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Notre Dame Prep's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by Decker Haskins-Smith and Jace Wright. Haskins-Smith rushed for 146 yards and one score while Wright picked up 78 receiving yards and one TD. Haskins-Smith really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Horizon fell to 5-1. As for Notre Dame Prep, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.
