Basketball Game Preview: Anclote Sharks vs. River Ridge Royal Knights + How To Watch

The Anclote Sharks will head out to square off against the River Ridge Royal Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Anclote didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Palm Harbor University, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win.

Anclote can attribute much of their success to Peyton Vega, who posted 20 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds, and Cam Surface, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards. Those six assists gave Vega a new career-high.

Meanwhile, River Ridge entered their tilt with Fivay on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Falcons 55-52. While the Royal Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Anclote's record is now 2-4. As for River Ridge, their record now sits at 6-2.

Anclote was taken down by River Ridge 73-44 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Sharks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
