Elkins and Preston are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Elkins Tigers will face off against the Preston Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkins has given up an average of 50.4 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Elkins is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Washington just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 59-39 to the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Preston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 47-42 to Hedgesville. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Elkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Elkins came up short against Preston when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 57-44. Can Elkins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
