Softball Recap: Bigelow Has No Trouble Against Little Rock Christian Academy

After only one run in their last game, Bigelow made sure to put some runs up on the board against Little Rock Christian Academy on Thursday. Everything went the Bigelow Panthers' way against the Little Rock Christian Academy Warriors as the Bigelow Panthers made off with a 22-1 victory. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1, 2024.

Briley Starks made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Hana Staples was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bryn Weaver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Bigelow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Little Rock Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .250.

Bigelow picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Little Rock Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Bigelow will be playing at home against St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Little Rock Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Benton at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
