Basketball Recap: Coffee's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Tift County came into Friday's game looking for another win against Coffee, but Xavien Littleton wouldn't allow it. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 victory over the Blue Devils on Friday for which the team can thank Littleton, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Curtis, who posted eight points and six boards. He also put up a block, which was his first of the season.

Coffee's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Tift County, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Coffee has already played their next matchup, a 60-57 victory against Camden County on the 13th. Tift County will take on Westover in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
