Soccer Game Preview: Eastmont vs. Mount Si

Eastmont will square off against Mount Si on Friday. Eastmont knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Mount Si likes a good challenge.

Eastmont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Puyallup. Considering Eastmont have won 12 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chiawana typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Mount Si proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Riverhawks by a score of 2-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Mount Si's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Chiawana are ranked first).

Eastmont pushed their record up to 14-4-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those seven matches. As for Mount Si, their record now sits at 10-5-2.

Eastmont might still be hurting after the 5-2 loss they got from Mount Si when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Eastmont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
