Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rabun County

Rabun County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the North Hall Trojans with a sharp 92-68 win. The Wildcats pushed the score to 83-53 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans cut but never quite recovered from.

Rabun County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Huey Blalock, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 assists. The game was Blalock's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Trace Adcock, who shot 70% from beyond the arc en route to 24 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Rabun County was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Rabun County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rabun County will take on Towns County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hall, they will challenge East Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 71.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
