Soccer Recap: Plainview Comes Up Short

Plainview lost to Lubbock-Cooper back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Pirates, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Plainview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 659th, while Lubbock-Cooper are ranked 125th).

Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Plainview is set to square off against their familiar foe Palo Duro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lubbock-Cooper will take on rival Caprock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
