Soccer Game Preview: Seneca vs. Blue Ridge

The Seneca Bobcats will face off against the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Seneca is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Daniel last Thursday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Seneca can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Daniel are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Blue Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past Broome 4-1 last Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Blue Ridge in their matchups with Broome: they've now won four in a row.

Seneca now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Blue Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Seneca took their victory against Blue Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2. Does Seneca have another victory up their sleeve, or will Blue Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
