Softball Game Preview: Daleville Warhawks vs. Carroll Eagles

Daleville is 0-7 against Carroll since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Warhawks will challenge the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Daleville has given up an average of 19.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Daleville is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Dale County, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Montgomery Academy.

Saniya Jenkins stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Makynzye Bonner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Daleville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Daleville might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Carroll in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can the Warhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
