Basketball Recap: Long Beach Takes a Loss

Long Beach was the 47-41 winner over Moss Point when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Long Beach Bearcats fell 65-52 to the Moss Point Tigers on Friday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jujuan Nettles was nothing short of spectacular for Moss Point: he dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Nettles a new career-high in points. Treylynn Anderson was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Long Beach's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Moss Point, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.

Long Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-20 defeat against Biloxi on the 21st. As for Moss Point, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-47 loss against Magee on the 21st.
