Basketball Recap: Coloma Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Coloma, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past the Dowagiac Chieftains with a 63-58 win on Tuesday. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Chieftains are ranked 447th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coloma's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Dowagiac, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coloma will be home for the holidays to greet Allegan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dowagiac, they will welcome Berrien Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
