Basketball Recap: Central Academy Comes Up Short

Central Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 43rd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Parkwood Wolf Pack and fell 75-41. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolf Pack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-13 back in January.

Leading Parkwood to victory were Destinie Bailey and Peyton Collins. Bailey went 9-for-16 on her way to 21 points, while Collins went 7-for-16 to rack up 19 points. Those 21 points gave Bailey a new career-high. Kenley Davis was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Central Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Parkwood, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13.

Coming up, Central Academy will challenge Monroe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season. Parkwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
