Soccer Recap: Groton Comes Up Short

Groton lost against Vermillion back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers lost 5-1 to the Tanagers. Groton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Groton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Vermillion, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Groton is set to take on their familiar foe Dakota Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Vermillion will square off against rival Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
