Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Mcdonogh 35's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

While McDonogh 35 put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Landry. The Roneagles put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 20-0 win. That looming 20-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Roneagles yet this season.

Naamon Landry was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Jakam Glinn and Steven Wade did most of the damage at the plate: Glinn scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while Wade scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. Glinn has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last seven times he's played. Kentrell Allen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

McDonogh 35 always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .846. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

McDonogh 35 has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.8 runs. As for Landry, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDonogh 35 will head out to square off against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Landry, they will venture away from home to take on South Plaquemines at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
