Lakes came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Highland Park Giants. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Lakes didn't let Highland Park take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22.

Addison Sundquist paced Lakes' offense, picking up seven kills. Sundquist got some help from Sammi Madsen and her 13 assists. Paige Klassy controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lakes' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Highland Park, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Coming up, Lakes is taking a road trip to take on Vernon Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Highland Park, they will host Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
