Volleyball Recap: Dieterich Takes a Loss

Dieterich was the 2-0 winner over Cisne when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Movin Maroons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Runnin' Lions on Tuesday.

Dieterich was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Bailey Brummer paced Dieterich's offense, picking up eight kills. Brummer got some help from Aliza Garner and her six assists. Garner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kinley Will, racking up three apiece.

Dieterich's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Dieterich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City on the 28th. Cisne has also already played their next game (against Norris City-Omaha-Enfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
