Basketball Recap: Imperial Tigers vs. Brawley Wildcats
The Imperial Tigers entered their tilt with the Brawley Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Imperial walked away with a 61-48 win over the Wildcats on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Imperial also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Imperial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was David Scariano out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Marc Vitela was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Brawley still got an impressive performance from Adam Duran, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duran has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Flores, who scored seven points.
Imperial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-15 record this season. As for Brawley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imperial will take on the Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vincent Memorial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Brawley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.
