Softball Recap: Cedar Valley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cedar Valley can now relate to. They came up short against the Springville Red Devils on Friday, falling 17-4. The Aviators have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Alexis Jenson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Danica Everts was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Cedar Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Springville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

While Cedar Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
