Basketball Recap: St. Lawrence Central Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

St. Lawrence Central had won two straight road games and Ayden Beach did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The St. Lawrence Central Larries took down the Edwards-Knox Cougars 82-67 thanks in part to Beach, who went 19 for 24 on his way to 39 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. The game was his 12th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Ashley, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

St. Lawrence Central's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Edwards-Knox, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Lawrence Central will welcome Salmon River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Lawrence Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Salmon River likes a good challenge. As for Edwards-Knox, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrisville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
