Softball Recap: Llano Victorious

Llano won the last time they faced Brady and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 17-13 victory over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Lyndi Landers was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Landers was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Llano let Emmaryee Roberson and Madison Whittenburg run wild. Roberson went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI, while Whittenburg went 2-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave Whittenburg a new career-high. Jaci Smith was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Llano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Llano's record is now 10-16. As for Brady, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

As of now, neither Llano nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
