Soccer Recap: Tompkins Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Tompkins's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jordan Warriors on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Warriors are ranked 16th).

Tompkins has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Jordan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 8-0.

Tompkins has already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against Paetow on the 14th. As for Jordan, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Mayde Creek on the 14th.
