Softball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Holmes Huskies, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly ten runs.

Haley Herrera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Holmes, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-12 record.

Looking ahead, Marshall will take on Stevens at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. Holmes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
