Volleyball Recap: Maddy Miller and Lauren Rietz Secure Win for Tanque Verde

Tanque Verde not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Catalina Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tanque Verde took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-12, 25-4.

Leading Tanque Verde to victory were Lauren Rietz and Maddy Miller. Rietz had seven aces and four digs, while Miller had six digs and six aces. That's the most digs Miller has posted since back in September of 2024. Megan Hadley also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Tanque Verde was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 40 aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Tanque Verde and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Catalina, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
