Poly came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Grant Lancers by a score of 59-48. 59 seems to be a good number for the Parrots as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Poly's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kevin Lara led the charge by putting up 18 points. Solomon Parker was another key player, scoring 12 points.

The victory got Poly back to even at 9-9. As for Grant, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Poly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-53 loss against La Salle on the 24th. As for Grant, they will head out to face off against Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
