Basketball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Comes Up Short

Christian Educational Consortium lost against Bluegrass United back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Christian Educational Consortium Cougars came up short against the Bluegrass United Bluehawks, falling 51-29. The Cougars were down 35-15 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Christian Educational Consortium still got an impressive performance from Jenna Wyndham, who posted 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 65.5% of Christian Educational Consortium's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bluegrass United to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allie McGuire, who earned ten points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Noe Gordon, who scored four points and six boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Christian Educational Consortium and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Bluegrass United, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14.

Christian Educational Consortium will venture away from home to square off against Thomas Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bluegrass United has already played their next contest (against Western Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
