Wayne has gone a perfect 10-0 against West Point-Beemer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blue Devils will head out to square off against the Cadets at 7:30 p.m. This will be Wayne's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Wayne took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They secured a 43-37 W over Lakeview.

Wayne got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jace Jorgensen out in front who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. That's the most assists Jorgensen has posted since back in January. Theo Claussen was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Point-Beemer). They claimed a resounding 78-33 victory over Clarkson/Leigh. Given the Cadets' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Patriots are ranked 137th) , the win on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Wayne back to even at 2-2. As for West Point-Beemer, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2.

Wayne didn't have too much breathing room in their game against West Point-Beemer when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Cadets' Peyton Penrose, who went 8-for-14 en route to 22 points and six rebounds.
