Somerset Tech scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the South Amboy Governors, falling 40-18. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Governors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Somerset Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Amboy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Somerset Tech will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026. South Amboy and Henry Hudson will round out the year against one another on Monday.
