Softball Game Preview: Campbellsport Cougars vs. Two Rivers Raiders

The Campbellsport Cougars will challenge the Two Rivers Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Campbellsport 3.2, Two Rivers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Two Rivers will be up against a hot Campbellsport team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Oakfield on Thursday. Considering the Cougars have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Two Rivers owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Valders 1-0. The game was the first time the Raiders have beaten the Vikings on their field since May 4, 2022.

Not much got past Anna Klein, who gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep Valders off the board. Klein has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Two Rivers secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Lucy Leist, who went 2-for-4 with one double. That's the most hits Leist has posted since back in May of 2025.

Campbellsport's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Two Rivers, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.

Two Rivers' pitching crew better be locked in on Tuesday. Campbellsport hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game.
