Basketball Recap: Creekview Comes Up Short

Creekview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 78-27 defeat at the hands of the Highland Park Scots. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 766th, while the Scots are ranked 60th).

Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 9-21. As for Highland Park, they pushed their record up to 25-6 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home.

Coming up, Creekview will host Reedy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Reedy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Creekview likes a good challenge. As for Highland Park, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lone Star at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Lone Star likes a good challenge.
