Baseball Recap: Indy Genesis HomeSchool Victorious

After losing to LKY the last time they met, Indy Genesis HomeSchool decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indy Genesis came out on top against the Saints by a score of 5-2 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indy Genesis.

Isaiah Giegerich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Indy Genesis HomeSchool's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carson Howard, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Gabe Barnes was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Indy Genesis HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 11-2-1. As for LKY, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Indy Genesis HomeSchool will face off against Triton Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for LKY, they will square off against Southern at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
