Softball Game Preview: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Hillcrest Huskies

Jordan hasn't had much luck against Hillcrest recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers will face off against the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Jordan is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They fell 7-2 to Skyline.

Jordan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kanani Archibeque, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Kearns by a score of 5-4.

Adrie Sullivan and Nyomi Houston did some serious damage despite the final result: Sullivan went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Houston went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that Houston has hit this season. Savil Hughes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Jordan suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Hillcrest in their previous meeting on April 4th. Can the Beetdiggers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
