Basketball Recap: Carver Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy last Thursday, Carver Collegiate Academy came back down to earth. The Carver Collegiate Academy Rams fell 39-26 to the Archbishop Chapelle Chipmunks on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 48-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2019.

Archbishop Chapelle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Molly Avrard led the charge by putting up 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Dublin, who posted six points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.

Carver Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Carver Collegiate Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Archbishop Chapelle, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 42-24 win against Pearl River on the 13th.
