Softball Game Preview: Tomales Braves vs. Technology Titans

The Tomales Braves will head out on the road to challenge the Technology Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tomales has three straight victories, Technology has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Tomales got the win against Potter Valley by a conclusive 21-5. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 14 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Technology scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Credo, falling 35-19. Even if the Titans couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Tomales pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Technology, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything went Tomales' way against Technology when the teams last played on April 1st, as Tomales made off with a 34-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
