Basketball Game Preview: Omaha North Vikings vs. Lincoln High Links

The Omaha North Vikings will square off against the Lincoln High Links at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Omaha North: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Lincoln High has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.

Omaha North is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 79-49 victory over Burke. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 246th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lincoln High lost to Omaha Central at home by a 59-41 margin on Saturday.

Omaha North's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Lincoln High, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Omaha North was able to grind out a solid victory over Lincoln High when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 61-48. Does Omaha North have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln High turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
